Known generally as the CCC, this was a New Deal program

established by President Franklin Roosevelt to provide employment for young men and to preserve the nation's natural resources.  The program will include information on the economics of the time, national and local projects, the development of eight state parks in Wisconsin and the people who participated in the CCC.

Trains: The Watertown Plank Toll Road to Modern Railways

 

 

Ed Uhl sets up replica trains engines and other train memorabilia prior to the lecture. Sample of replica train engines which were displayed.

 

Residents and train lovers gather to learn about about the evolution of travel in Wisconsin - from the Watertown Plank Road Toll Roads to modern high speed railroads.
