"Celebrating 100 Years
of Boy Scouting"

Did you know that in 1911, to become a First Class Scout, a boy had to know how to help in case of a runaway horse!
Did you know that William Davidson, founder of Harley Davidson was the first secretary of the Milwaukee County Council in 1914!
Did you know that Charles Pfister gave the Milwaukee Boy Scouts permission to use a lot north of his Pfister Hotel as a site for the Scout's headquarters in 1915!
Did you know that the first Boy Scout Jamboree was held in Washington, DC at the invitation of President Roosevelt and that it was attended by 27,232 people!
Find out more abut the history of scouting in the United States and Wisconsin. Attend "Celebrating 100 Years of Boy Scouting" and learn about the fascinating history of Boy Scouts, the ways it has adapted to changing times, and the impact it has had on over 100 million registered youths during its 100 year history in the United States of America.
Admission is free! Refreshments will be served.

Jessica Michna, who is from Racine Wisconsin is internationally known for her riveting and at times humorous portrayals of First Ladies of the White House: Abigail Adams, Mary Todd Lincoln and Eleanor Roosevelt.
Join us as she reenacts pivotal moments in Eleanor Roosevelt's life. Learn what it was like to be Eleanor Roosevelt who lived in the White House for an amazing 13 years. Learn about her tragedies and triumphs, about her experience as a champion of civil rights, an author and as a states woman.
